Pregnyl Vials, 1500 IU, #3 Solution
Composition
Pregnyl contains the active substance human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (hCG), with each vial delivering 1500 IU. It is derived from the urine of pregnant women and purified for medical use. Inactive ingredients include mannitol and sodium phosphate, which help stabilize the solution. Each pack includes 3 vials.
Indications
- Induction of ovulation in women with infertility due to anovulation
- Support of the luteal phase in assisted reproductive technology (ART) protocols
- Treatment of male infertility due to hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (low sperm count)
- Stimulation of testosterone production in delayed puberty in boys
Dosage and Administration
Pregnyl is administered by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection. Doses should always be determined by a physician. Typical regimens include:
- Women (Ovulation Induction): 5,000 to 10,000 IU one day after the last dose of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) or menotropins
- Men (Hypogonadism): 500 to 1000 IU three times weekly for 3 weeks, followed by the same dose twice weekly for another 3 weeks
- Pubertal Boys: Dosage and frequency individualized by physician

- Women with ovarian enlargement not caused by PCOS
