Description
Ginkgo Biloba (extract, 17.5 mg) Capsules
Composition
Each capsule of Ginkgo Biloba contains 17.5 mg of Ginkgo Biloba extract as the active ingredient. The extract is derived from the leaves of the Ginkgo Biloba tree, a species native to China and traditionally used in herbal medicine. The capsules also contain inert excipients, which may vary depending on the manufacturer.
Indications
Ginkgo Biloba is used to enhance memory and cognitive function. It is commonly prescribed in the management of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and age-related cognitive decline. Some evidence also supports its use in tinnitus, vertigo, and antidepressant-induced sexual dysfunction.

Pharmacology
Ginkgo Biloba extract is rich in flavonoids and terpenoids, compounds with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It enhances cerebral blood flow, supports mitochondrial function, and protects neurons from oxidative stress and amyloid-beta toxicity. It may also modulate neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine.
