Composition

Description
Inosine Injection is a clear, colorless solution packed in glass ampoules. Each pack contains 5 ampoules of 400 mg/10 ml solution. Inosine is a nucleoside that is part of the structural components of some enzymes and plays a significant role in the body’s metabolism and energy production.
Indications
Inosine Injection is indicated for use in patients with conditions that require increased oxygen consumption. These include states of exhaustion, intense physical activity, recovery after illness or surgery, and certain heart conditions. It provides the body with the necessary components to produce energy and improve overall metabolism.
Contraindications
Inosine Injection is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Inosine or any other components of the solution. It should not be used in patients with gout or high levels of uric acid in the blood, as Inosine may increase these levels. Pregnancy and lactation are also contraindications. The safety and efficacy of Inosine Injection in children have not been established.
Dosage and Administration
Inosine Injection is administered intravenously. The dosage and duration of the treatment depend on the patient’s condition and response to therapy. Typically, the recommended dose is 1 ampoule (400 mg) daily. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 2 ampoules (800 mg). The injection should be administered slowly, over a period of 10-15 minutes to prevent adverse reactions.
Side Effects
Side effects of Inosine Injection are rare but may include allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, shortness of breath, wheezing or trouble breathing. Other side effects include changes in heartbeat, chest pain, feeling faint or lightheaded, nausea, vomiting, and increased levels of uric acid in the blood. If any of these symptoms occur, seek medical attention immediately.
Precautions
Before starting treatment with Inosine Injection, inform your doctor if you have any allergies or if you have a history of heart disease, kidney disease, or gout. Regular monitoring of uric acid levels may be necessary while using this medicine. Avoid consuming alcohol and high-purine foods during the treatment as they might increase uric acid levels in the blood.
Interactions
Inosine Injection may interact with other medications, which can affect how it works or increase the risk of side effects. These include certain drugs for treating gout (like allopurinol), certain antibiotics (like ampicillin), and antiviral medications. Inform your doctor about all the medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are currently taking before starting treatment with Inosine Injection.
Storage
Inosine Injection should be stored at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
Overdose
In case of an overdose, immediate medical attention is necessary. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, irregular heartbeat, and severe dizziness.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Inosine Injection should not be used during pregnancy and lactation unless clearly necessary. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before starting treatment with Inosine Injection.
