Description
Likopid tablets 1 mg, #10
Likopid is produced in tablet form. The active ingredient is glucosaminylmuramyl dipeptide.
Pharmacological Effect
Immunomodulating element. In cases of secondary immunodeficiencies, at a dosage of 1-10 mg, it stimulates the functional activity of phagocytic cells, as well as cellular and humoral factors of local and systemic immunity. For autoimmune diseases, doses of 10-20 mg inhibit the synthesis of cytokines involved in inflammatory processes.
Use in the Sports Sphere
In conditions of high physical and mental stress experienced by athletes, the immune system is the first to suffer. Therefore, the prevention and correction of sports-related immunodeficiency is an important task in sports medicine. This paper presents the results of a four-year study on the immune status of combat athletes (conducted five times a year) and the effectiveness of targeted immunotherapy. The study demonstrated that T-cell immunodeficiencies most often occur in athletes, correlating with the intensity of the training-competitive schedule and the season (autumn-winter). The proposed immunotherapy regimen promoted the normalization of immune profile indicators in athletes and effectively mitigated the consequences of high training and competitive loads.
Indications and Usage
Likopid is indicated for immunodeficiency, accompanied by chronic, sluggish, recurrent infectious, and inflammatory processes (as part of combination therapy), for both adults and children.
