Description
Neoton 1 g. (China) Solution
Composition
Each vial contains:
- Phosphocreatine Sodium (equivalent to 1 g Creatine Phosphate)
- Excipients: Sodium Hydroxide, Water for Injection
Description
Neoton 1 g. (China) Solution is a sterile, pyrogen-free intravenous solution, clear and colorless, packaged in a sealed glass vial. It is formulated for rapid energy supplementation during critical cardiovascular events and metabolic stress conditions.
Pharmacological Class
Cardiometabolic agent. Neoton acts as a precursor to ATP, the primary energy source in cells, thereby supporting myocardial energy metabolism during ischemia and reperfusion.
Mechanism of Action
Phosphocreatine provides an immediate source of high-energy phosphate to regenerate ATP from ADP, particularly under conditions of high metabolic demand or ischemia. It supports myocardial function by stabilizing cellular membranes and improving energy-dependent processes.

Indications
- Acute Myocardial Infarction
- Cardiac surgery (pre-, peri-, or postoperative metabolic support)
- Cardiogenic shock
- Arrhythmias related to myocardial ischemia
- Supportive therapy in severe trauma or sepsis (off-label)
Dosage and Administration
- Route: Intravenous (IV bolus or infusion)
- Initial dose: 2–4 g IV slowly, followed by continuous infusion if needed
- Maintenance: 1–2 g IV every 6–8 hours based on clinical condition
- Always under supervision of a physician in a hospital setting
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to creatine phosphate or any component of the formulation
- Severe renal failure (risk of phosphate accumulation)
- Severe hepatic dysfunction without monitoring
Precautions
- Monitor renal function during prolonged use
- Use caution in patients with electrolyte disturbances
- Use under strict medical supervision in elderly or multi-morbid patients
Side Effects
Common side effects include:
- Nausea and vomiting
- Headache or dizziness
- Local irritation at injection site
Rare but serious effects:
- Hypotension
- Electrolyte imbalance
- Allergic reaction (rash, dyspnea)
In case of any severe or persistent side effects, treatment should be stopped and appropriate medical attention sought.
Drug Interactions
- Concurrent use with diuretics, corticosteroids, or phosphate-containing solutions may require electrolyte monitoring
- Potential interaction with beta-blockers in ischemic heart conditions—monitor cardiac response
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include metabolic acidosis, hypocalcemia, or hyperphosphatemia. In such cases, discontinue administration and provide supportive care with electrolyte correction and renal monitoring.
Storage
- Store below 25°C in a dry place
- Protect from light
- Do not freeze
- Keep out of reach of children
