Sodio Bicarbonato Monico – 10 mEq/10 ml.
Antacid helps to regulate the acid-base balance, as it has alkaline properties which can increase the alkaline reserve of the blood.
When taken orally, it quickly neutralizes the hydrochloric acid of gastric juice, providing a fast but short-term antacid effect.
It additionally has an expectorant effect, as it reduces the viscosity of sputum due to a shift in the alkaline side of the reaction of bronchial mucus. Furthermore, its absorption leads to the development of alkalosis, and alkalinization of urine can prevent the deposition of uric acid in the urinary tract.
Relieves symptoms of sea and air sickness.
Bicarbonato de Sodio is used to treat hyperacidity, dyspepsia, and symptomatic relief of heartburn and peptic ulcers.
Sodio Bicarbonato Dosage
For acid indigestion
Adults and children over 12 years old: Take 12 ml (1 g) to 60 ml (5 g) every 4-6 hours.
Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
How to Take Sodio Bicarbonato?
When taking sodium bicarbonate, draw the required dose from the container with the help of a graduated syringe and a syringe adapter.
This medication should not be administered to those under the age of 12, those suffering from metabolic or respiratory alkalosis, hypocalcemia, or hypochlorhydria.
