Description

Tymalin (Thymalin) powder vials 10 mg, #10

Main active ingredients: 1 ampoule (1 bottle) contains 10 mg of dry purified extract of thymus (thymus gland) of cattle.

Inactive ingredient: glycine.

Tymalin Pharmacological Properties

The specified element refers to medications of immunomodulators of polypeptide origin.

The active ingredient of Tymalin is an extract of the thymus gland (thymus) obtained from cattle. The medication helps restore body immunological reactivity (reaction to pathogenic stimuli). When it penetrates into the body, the active ingredient regulates the quantitative composition of B-lymphocytes and T-lymphocytes, as well as their ratio.

Tymalin is prescribed for the stimulation of immune responses at the cellular level. In such cases, there is an increase in phagocytic activity (processes of active capture, apoptosis of pathogens with participation of phagocytes). Under the influence of the medication, the restoration processes of hematopoiesis are stimulated, if they are subject to oppression, and the metabolic processes in the cells are improved.

Tymalin Use in Sports Sphere

Currently, the elite sports sphere is characterized by a great increase in the intensity and volume of training loads among sportsmen, as well as a large number of competitions and the associated frequent changes in climatic conditions and time zones. In addition, a pronounced psychoemotional component inherent in elite sports is a stress factor greatly affecting the bodies of sportsmen.

It should be noted that it occurs against the background of noticeable rejuvenation of almost all sports and is combined with frequent disorders of organ functioning and body systems, in particular, the immune system. The results of numerous studies convincingly show that the immune system plays an important role in keeping shape, ensuring adequate recovery of the sportsman’s body, and protecting it from various viral and other diseases arising because of excessive physical stress.

Sports doctors often record cases of difficulty explaining disruptions in physical form when an outwardly strong and healthy sportsman suddenly starts suffering from diseases and, ultimately, drops out of the training process and competitions. One of the most probable reasons for this phenomenon is the development of transient disorders of the normal functioning of the immune system.

In elite sports, in conditions of increasing muscular-emotional stress, the reserve capacity of the immune system is quickly depleted, while the likelihood of developing colds and infectious diseases increases significantly. This work does not focus on the use in sports of the highest achievements of a certain number of immunomodulators requiring medical control, but, taking into account the experience of a number of specialists, it is offered to use (under certain conditions) milder medications with antioxidant and anabolic properties.
