Polyoxidonium (Azoximer bromide) is an immunomodulating medication used to enhance the body’s immune response in the treatment and prevention of various infections and immune-related conditions. This injectable formulation contains 6 mg of lyophilized powder per vial, with 5 vials in each pack.

Pharmacodynamics

Azoximer bromide enhances both innate and adaptive immunity. It activates phagocytic cells, increases the production of interferon, enhances the cytotoxic activity of natural killer cells, and stimulates the maturation and activation of T- and B-lymphocytes. The agent also has antioxidant and detoxifying effects, supporting the elimination of toxins and reducing the inflammatory response.

Dosage and Administration

  • Reconstitute powder with 1–2 ml of sterile water or 0.9% sodium chloride solution before use

  • Children’s dose: individualized based on weight and age

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to Azoximer bromide or excipients
