Composition
Each Enerion tablet consists of 200 mg of the active ingredient, sulbutiamine. This active substance belongs to the group of synthetic thiamine (vitamin B1) derivatives. Pharmacological Group
Enerion (sulbutiamine) is categorized under the pharmacological group of neurotropic agents. It is a synthetic derivative of thiamine and is primarily used for its nootropic effects.
Pharmacological Properties
Sulbutiamine, the active ingredient in Enerion, is known for its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier more effectively than thiamine. This property makes it beneficial in improving cognitive function, reducing fatigue, and managing a variety of mental disorders. It enhances both physical and mental energy, and has been reported to improve memory, focus, and mood.
Indications
Enerion is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of functional asthenia. It can also be used to treat thiamine deficiency and its associated conditions, such as beriberi, Wernicke’s encephalopathy, and Korsakoff’s syndrome. Additionally, it may be prescribed for chronic fatigue, memory problems, depression, and certain types of neuropathy.
Contraindications
Enerion should not be used by patients with known hypersensitivity to sulbutiamine or any of the other ingredients in this medication. It is also contraindicated in children under the age of 18 and in patients with severe renal impairment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Enerion only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.

Before starting treatment with Enerion, it is important to inform your doctor about any pre-existing conditions, especially kidney disease, liver disease, and certain mental/mood conditions (such as bipolar disorder, psychosis). This medication should be used with caution in elderly patients and those with a history of alcohol or substance abuse.

Some medications may interact with Enerion, altering its effectiveness or increasing the risk of side effects. These include certain antipsychotics, antidepressants, and other medications used to treat mental/mood disorders. It is important to inform your healthcare provider about all the medications, supplements, and herbal products you are currently taking.

Common side effects of Enerion include nausea, stomach upset, headache, irritability, and insomnia.
